We have supported:
sports organisations,
the Featherston
Community Centre,
our local foodbanks and
individuals involved in community
work
There is an overlap with the Youth Committee and we work together where an
organisation such as a school makes facilities available to the community.
Every year we arrange
the Foodbank Collection.
This involves publicity and liaising with the fire
Services and Scouts
We also arrange transport and collectors and take the food to
the foodbanks in Featherston and Martinborough
Every second year we hold the Rotary Community Awards.
The event serves to recognise
those unsung heroes who work so hard but are often unknown to most of us.
In 2024 the committee organised a group to help at the Greytown Schools’ first ever gala and can assist with other similar events
